Chautauqua begins their season with a Talk Series, with monthly events from January through May. Each talk is about one of the historical figures that will appear in Winter Chautauqua and the June History Alive Festival. These events are free and open to the public.

The Talk Series is a chance to join an audience that loves to talk back to history. You ask questions, engage in dialogue, share experiences, and get inspired to further explore the characters’ histories during the upcoming live performances. These talks are not costumed performances, but they are a chance to engage in discussion with historical experts on the storied lives of our Season cast of historical figures.

The Library Talk Series celebrates a 20-year community partnership of Greenville Chautauqua and the Greenville County Library System. Talks are held at the Hughes Main Library, in downtown Greenville.

The 2018 Talks will be held on Tuesdays at 7pm on Jan 16, Feb 20, Mar 20, Apr 10 and May 1.
