Greenville Chautauqua Society is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1999, and incorporated in 2002. We are supported by local citizens and businesses who value our diverse culture and our history, keeping it alive in their communities and passing it on to future generations.  Low overhead, a primarily volunteer staff and a community that digs into its pockets enable us to offer these authentic programs free and open to the public.

Please join the Friends of Chautauqua. You will receive personal notification of all Chautauqua events and will be acknowledged in our programs. We can't do it without you!

Contact Caroline at (864-244-1499) or email:  volunteer@greenvillechautauqua.org

Chautauqua is an all volunteer organization and whether you have a few hours or a few days at any time of the year, we can use your help.
  • Ushers are always needed at all performances
  • Posters, fliers and spreading the word.  We need all the free publicity we can muster.
  • Telling your friends is the best advertising. Ask churches and home communities to post information or put in bulletins.  Let us know where you look to find out what's going on.
  • Photos.  We always need photos to record our performances.
  • Video.  We like to video as many performances as possible.
  • Graphics.  We always can use some help with graphics.
  • News hounds.  If you see an article about Chautauqua, clip it out and send it to us

Share your ideas with us and let us know what you would like to do for Chautauqua.  After all this is your story.
