Help Keep History Alive
We love serving the Upstate and surrounding communities, and providing our communities with the chance to experience history coming to life. But we can’t do it alone. We need your help to keep the Chautauqua experience alive. A donation in any amount is greatly appreciated. Benefactors will receive personal notifications of all events and may reserve seating at our Gala and Winter Chautauqua shows.

Save Buncombe Chautauqua
For 16 years the Buncombe Chautauqua History Alive Festival was sponsored by the Buncombe Co Library System. Each year, we laughed, cried and questioned the likes of Albert Einstein, Harry Truman, Rachel Carson, Carl Jung, Malcolm X, Mark Twain, and Winston Churchill.
With recent massive cut backs at the Buncombe Library System, Buncombe Chautauqua is in danger of disappearing. A Committee to “Save Our Chautauqua” rescued Buncombe Chautauqua last year. The shows were packed! But they can’t do it again without you. Please support History Alive in Buncombe County with your donation.
Greenville Chautauqua is the fiscal agent for Buncombe Chautauqua. To donate mark checks “for Buncombe.” For Paypal donations, list “Purpose” as Buncombe Chautauqua.
Your donations will be reserved for Buncombe Chautauqua events in Buncombe County, NC only and will still be tax-deductible through Greenville Chautauqua.
