Chautauqua Performer Training Institute June 15-20
It takes an extraordinary person to succeed on the Chautauqua stage: part scholar, part actor, and gifted in research and performance skills.
- Would you like to learn how to be one?
- Are you a historical interpreter who would like to improve your skills?
- Are you a teacher who would like to integrate this way of teaching critical thinking in your classroom?
Our Artistic Director, George Frein is one of the most popular national Chautauqua interpreters. This training program will tap his knowledge and experience and that of other national Chautauqua stars. And it will take place right here in Greenville, during the June Festival.
The program will include:
- 2 classes and discussion each day
- Observation of performers at Festival performances
- Morning coffee with the Festival performers
- Group discussions after evening shows
- Your opportunity to rehearse and give a mini-performance for critique
